What should your child wear and bring to Forest School?
Forest Preschool sessions take place whatever the weather so it is important that your child is dressed appropriately.

What to Wear: Forest School Essentials for All Seasons
At our forest school, sessions run in all weather conditions, so ensuring children are dressed appropriately is key to their comfort and safety.
-
In cold weather the children need to wear layers - base layers/thermal bottoms and tops, trousers (not jeans), fleece, waterproof coat, waterproof dungarees or trousers and thermal wellies or snowboots with thick socks. Hat, scarf and gloves too.
-
In warmer weather the children will still need to wear their waterproof dungarees together with long sleeved tops and trousers (not jeans). They will need to bring a waterproof coat and fleece too and wear wellies with thick socks.
-
Year-Round Protection: Long-sleeved tops and joggers/leggings should be worn throughout the year to protect against scratches, grazes, and insect bites.
What to Bring: Packing List for Forest School
To help your child enjoy their experience, please ensure they bring the following items:
-
A Rucksack: Ideally, this should have a chest clip, a side pocket for a water bottle, and a front pocket for gloves.
-
Breakfast for those children starting at 8am.
-
Spare Clothing: A full set of clothes in case they get wet or need to change due to a toileting accident.
-
A healthy packed Lunch: Pack their lunch in a dedicated lunch bag. We will advise you at the time of joining whether any food products need to be avoided due to severe allergies.
