Nadia Romano

Nadia is the founder of Rain or Shine, overseeing the Bidborough setting.She holds a BA Honours Degree in Early Years Education. While studying, Nadia discovered Forest Schools, which inspired her to pursue further research in this area and open one of the first outdoor preschools in Kent in 2015.

She is a qualified Level 3 Forest School Leader and also serves as a designated safeguarding officer and SENCO.

Suzi

Suzi joined us in September 2018.She has a wealth of experience working with young children as she had previously worked as a nanny.

Suzi is a qualified level 3 forest school leader and has a level 3 early years qualification and an NPQ in Leadership and Management.

She is also a designated safeguarding officer and SENCO

Fran

Fran joined us in September 2019. She is a qualified level 3 forest school leader and has a foundation degree in Early Years Education.

Fran is also a designated safeguarding officer.

Gemma

Gemma joined us in February 2020. Both her children attended Rain or Shine when they were younger. Gemma is a qualified level 3 forest school leader and has a level 3 early years qualification.

Gemma is also a SENCO.

Louise

Louise joined us in September 2020. Both her children attended Rain or Shine when they were younger.

Louise is a qualified level 3 forest school leader and has a level 3 early years qualification.

Louise is also a SENCO.

Leonora

Leonora joined us in September 2024. She has previously led stay and play sessions for carers and their children and also school groups, so she has a lot of knowledge and skills to share.

She is a qualified level 3 forest school leader and has a degree in Animal Management.

Rebecca

Rebecca joined us in September 2023. All her children attended Rain or Shine when they were younger. Rebecca is a qualified teacher, specialising in early years and reception.

Rebecca has started studying for her level 3 forest school qualification.

Cara

Cara joined us in September 2023. Her children attended Rain or Shine when they were younger.

Cara has a level 3 early years qualification and is a qualified level 3 forest school leader.

Kate

Kate joined us in January 2019. Her child attended Rain or Shine when they were younger. Kate is a qualified teacher and is also a qualified level 3 forest school leader.

She works one day a week at each setting and extra days as and when required.

Nick

Nick is married to Nadia and together they have built the forest schools from scratch–Nadia usually has the ideas and Nick brings them to life. He often pops into both sites and is affectionately referred to as Forest School Nick by the children.

He sometimes covers if staff are off sick
