Fees and Funding

We accept all the funding for 2,3 and 4 year olds.

We do not limit the number of hours funding that can be claimed in each day. Our core hours are 9.15am – 2.15pm and preschool aged children need to attend a minimum of 2 core days a week (10 hours)

The funded hours are offered free of charge to ensure that our setting remains inclusive and accessible to all families but we do ask parents to make a monthly voluntary contribution which will enable us to maintain higher staff-to-child ratios, which means children benefit from more individual attention, greater use of our spacious environment, and richer learning opportunities. They also enable us to safely offer experiences that require closer supervision, such as fire activities and tool work.

All of this supports children in confidently embracing the forest school environment and gives them the strongest possible start in their early years.

Although all children will continue to benefit from our Forest School activities, the range and frequency of these experiences is directly linked to the level of staffing we are able to provide. Voluntary contributions help us employ additional staff to ensure children can take part safely, particularly in activities that require closer supervision.

From April 2026 the hourly rate is £9. 

Morning wraparound 8am-9.15am £11.25

Afternoon wraparound 2.15pm-4pm £15.75

Voluntary contribution is £3 per hour
